Transformation
Translation, Reflection, Rotation
This is a great poster I had in my classroom to remind my students about how to find these three types of transformation.
Translation: Look at the x value, if x is positive, then, the image shift to the right; if x is negative, the image shift to the left.
Reflection: Look for the mirror image (reflection line), if it says it is reflecting at (x,0), then that means the reflection line is Y-axis.
However, if it says it is reflecting at (y,0), then the reflection line is x-axis.
Rotation: Use transparency paper to solve the rotation.
